High Herts Summer Holiday Activities
Tuesday 27th July, 2010
· Half Day courses - £25
· Day courses - £45
· 3 day courses - £100, if there are places left on these courses individual days can be purchased for £45.
· If two courses are booked a 10% discount will be offered, this also applies to family bookings.
· Bookings will only be taken with a £20 non refundable/non transferable deposit.
· Make sure you book early to avoid disappointments.

Week 1: 27th- 30th July
Tuesday 27th - Handy Pony
Spend a day with your favourite pony, try different tasks, and end the day riding an obstacle course.
Wednesday 28th - Beginners Afternoon
For all our children in half an hour lessons, learn how to groom your favourite pony with a ride at the end.
Thursday 29th - Jumping Day
Come and have fun jumping all types of different jumps finishing off the day with a small jumping competition.
Friday 30th - Teenagers Hack
Experience riding around the countryside, enjoy the thrills of cantering along bridle paths and fields.

Week 2: 3rd - 6th August
Tuesday 3rd -Closed
Three Day Event
Wednesday 4th - Dressage
Learn how to ride a dressage test in the morning then take part in the competition in the afternoon.
Thursday 5th - Show Jumping
Prepare your horse in the morning to take part in a show jumping competition in the afternoon
Friday 6th - Cross Country
Final day of the 3 day event your last chance to get more points by riding a cross country course.
Please make sure you bring your smart riding clothes for the afternoon competitions

Week 3: 10th – 13th August
Tuesday 10th - CLOSED
Wednesday 11th - Beginners Morning
For all of our little riders come and enjoy spending time with your favourite pony with a small ride at the end of the session
Thursday 12th - Own a Pony Day
Come and spend a day with your favourite pony, learn what your pony likes and dislikes. Spend time caring and looking after you pony as if it was your own.
Friday 13th - Teenagers Hacking
Enjoy a day hacking around Hertfordshire’s countryside and bridle paths. Limited spaces so make sure you book early!!!
Week 4: 17th – 20th August
Tuesday 17th - CLOSED
Wednesday 18th - Beginners Morning
Look after your favourite pony, learn how to groom and look after him/her, with a short ride at the end of the session.
Thursday 19th - Jumping and Cross Country Day
Why not come and experience two different jumping experiences and find out which one you like the most. Will it be jumping a show jump course in an enclosed area or the thrill of riding across a field while jumping cross country jumps?
Friday 20th - Fun Day
A fun packed day with games on and off of horse back with a gymkhana at the end make sure you have your cheering voice on for this day.
Week 5: 24th – 27th August
Tuesday 24th - CLOSED
Mini Olympics
Over the three days you will take part in 5 different disciplines, some will be on horseback and some on foot (so don’t forget your pe kit!).
Wednesday 25th - Practise Day
You will be given a list of the 5 disciplines that you need to take part in. Today will be spent trying to get the best from your horses for the competition on Friday.
Thursday 26th - Practise and tidy up day
This is where you will practise the disciplines that you didn’t get to practise the day before and touch up your skills on the ones you did before the big day
Friday 27th - Olympics Day
Competition Day, this is where your hard work pays off.
There will be a BBQ on the Olympics day to celebrate all your hard efforts
