Bury Lake Young Mariners (BLYM) is a youth charity organisation (Reg no. 1102162) which is used by over 3,500 young people each year. Located in the picturesque Rickmansworth Aquadrome, BLYM is run entirely by over 100 volunteers.
BLYM boasts a diverse fleet of over 70 modern sailing dinghies including RS200s, 420's, Lasers, Toppers, Wayfarers, Coypus, Funboats and a Challenger Trimaran. We also have 6 powerboats specifically for use as resuce and coaching craft. We have over 100 volunteer instructors including 8 RYA Senior Dinghy Instructors, and numberous RYA Dinghy Instructors, RYA Powerboat Instructors and RYA Assistant Dinghy Instructors.
We also have a galley providing light refreshments, changing rooms with showers, two dinghy storage parks, a workshop, and unlimited use of Bury Lake for dinghy sailing.

The Hatch End Hawks are a friendly mixed age Women's Lacrosse club. We train on Wednesday evenings, with matches on Sundays in the South Lacrosse league and have friendly matches when possible. The season runs from September to April, with a summer break.
We are always looking for new members, from school girls to university leavers, to anyone who just wants to pick up a stick again! We don't normally take complete beginners, but just get in touch and we will give any information we can.
We have members attending the club from all over Hertfordshire, and also further afield from Harrow, Bucks, Middx and London. We train at the Royal Masonic School for Girls, Rickmansworth, which is 2mins from Junction 18 of the M25, so is very accessible.

It may be a coach, umpire or referee, or someone working behind the scenes looking after a website or acting as a club secretary. It could also be a junior team players' mum or dad who washes team kit, drives the minibus to the match or makes post-match refreshments every week. All of these people are sports volunteers and each and every one of them plays an important role in making sure sport happens! Who are the people around you who make a real difference?

High Herts Equestrian Centre is a British Horse Society and Pony Club approved riding school. Set in 20 acres near the borders of West Hertfordshire, High Herts has been teaching students young and old in the art of horse riding since it was established in 1976.
Our aim is to teach students the basics of horse riding and horse care and help students gain confidence in their ability. Our students will always improve their riding skills and ultimately reach their full potential.
To cater for our clients, we have a range of ponies and horses to suit every need, and run regular weekly lessons, private lessons and a variety of holiday courses from complete beginners to new skills (such as Polo Crosse) for experienced riders.

Kodokan Kendo Club

Kodokan UK is a friendly Kendo club based at the Princess Marina Sports Complex in Rickmansworth.
At Kodokan we follow the old teachings of Japanese Kendo which can often be seen in samurai sword fighting films. Kendo is a contact sport where protective armour is worn, however there is no danger associated with it's practice.
Kendo is suitable for people who want to adopt a positive approach to learning: how to control emotion, build up discipline, practicing good etiquette and respect for each other, whilst generally keeping or improving fitness levels.
The club caters for beginner, intermediate and advanced level students. Practice sessions are held on Wednesday and Friday evenings for adults. Induction courses are run on Wednesdays. We are starting junior classes from 27th February from age 9 to 17. Sessions for juniors are held Saturday mornings. These sessions are divided in 2 age groups of 9 – 12 and 13 – 17.

Activities take place at our own sheltered water training facility in Rickmansworth. During the summer, we meet as members each Wednesday, and often at weekends. It is here that we run BCU 1, 2 and 3 star courses for members, so all that practice in the pool can be put to good use.

The Princess Marina Sports Complex provides a great venue to take part in a variety of different sports and physical activities. Located within the grounds of the Royal Masonic School, Rickmansworth, the complex has a large sportshall, squash courts, a gym and a number of areas for activities to take place. Outside the Sports Complex, further facilities include tennis courts, netball courts, and large playing fields.
A number of local clubs are based at the complex, but facilities are available for use and hire by the general public. Staff are always on hand to help and advise, and there are a number of activities run or organised directly by them. These activities include indoor football leagues and children's parties.

Ramblers - Watford and Three Rivers Group

We are the local Ramblers group and organise walks both local to the Watford and Three Rivers area, and also further afield. We usually have a full-day walk of up to 12 miles at the weekend, and a half-day midweek walk approximately once a month. Membership is via the national Ramblers organisation, but prospective members are welcome to come along and try a walk before joining.

At Rickmansworth and Chess Valley Hockey Club, we take pride in our sociable and family friendly status, where players of all standards can find a team to suit their level. We currently field six senior teams; 4 men's teams playing in the East League and 2 ladies' teams playing in the Five Counties League. The club also has an active junior section, with a number of Colts teams ranging in age from 6 to 14.
Our home astro pitch is based at St Clement Danes School in Chorleywood, where the senior matches are played on Saturdays, juniors on a Sunday morning and training on a Wednesday evening.

We offer Try Dive Evenings to prospective members and to anyone who feels they would like to try diving out in a safe and fun environment before committing to a course or to joining a club.
The Try Dive Evening costs £20 per person and consists of a lecture on safe diving, equipment and what will happen in the pool later, followed by an hour long Try Dive in the pool with one of our qualified instructors.
The club offers courses for Ocean Divers, progressing to Sports Diver, Dive Leader and Advanced Diver standard.
The club has its own RIB boat and minibus, and six full sets of training equipment.
The club is affiliated to the British Sub-Aqua club.

Ricky Archers is a medium sized friendly and family orientated target archery club in Rickmansworth with a current membership of approximately 45 members.
The Club places a strong emphasis on making archery a fun sport to be enjoyed by all adults and junior boys and girls. It also has a great social side and hosts regular Fun Shoots, BBQ’s and other Club Events for members and their families to enjoy.
